FOSH
FOSH
The ‘Friends of St Hugh’s’ exists for the benefit of all pupils and parents and its primary role is to provide and coordinate support at school for either school or FOSH organised events. (The Autumn Fair, Fireworks Party and Summer Fete are examples of FOSH events.) The primary focus is to provide fun social occasions, although funds raised by FOSH’s activities have been invaluable in the past for providing ’luxuries’ for the school, which would not normally be expected to come out of school income, and for supporting local charities.
The role of Form Representatives is to promote awareness of FOSH within the year groups and to co-ordinate support for school/FOSH events. 'Form Reps' are also responsible for distributing form lists to parents in the year groups and for arranging occasional activities, especially at the start of the academic year (coffee mornings etc.) particularly when new parents are joining the school community. All parents are warmly invited to become involved with the work of FOSH and offers of help and support at all events, and indeed suggestions for future activities, are always most welcome.
If you would like further information about FOSH activities, please do get in touch with a Form Rep or with Suzy Macpherson at school.
