FOSH exists for the benefit of all pupils and parents and its primary role is to provide and coordinate
support at school for either school or FOSH organised events. (The Autumn Fair, Fireworks Party and Summer Fete are all examples of annual FOSH events.) The primary focus
is to provide fun social events, although funds raised by FOSH’s activities have been invaluable in
the past for providing ’luxuries’ for the school, which would not normally be expected to come out of
school income, and for supporting local charities.
Form Representatives were introduced last year and the role of the ‘Form Reps’ is to promote
awareness of FOSH within the year groups and to co-ordinate support for school/FOSH events. Form
Reps will also be responsible for distributing form lists for parents in the year groups and for
arranging occasional activities, especially at the start of the academic year (coffee mornings etc.)
particularly when new parents are joining the school community. All parents are warmly invited to
become involved with the work of FOSH and offers of help and support at all events, and indeed
suggestions for future activities, are always most welcome.
If you would like further information about FOSH activities, please do get in touch with a Form Rep or with Suzy Robinson at school.
