Regular boarding:
Regular boarding is ideal for parents who want their children to do one, two, three or four regular nights of boarding per week but are not yet ready to commit to weekly boarding. It helps parents to introduce their children to boarding at the speed which is appropriate to their age and needs. When children are in our Middle School they often do one or two nights per wee k, which then increases to two, three or four nights in Upper School. The regular nature of the boarding allows them to get a feel of what it like to board on a permanent basis and many pupils convert from regular boarding to weekly boarding as they move through the school.
Regular boarders are incorporated into the weekly boarders’ routines, enjoying the friendship of the community and the varied programme of activities. This includes supervised prep time where pupils are given the support of staff to help them.
“Regular boarding is a great stepping stone before weekly boarding, helping pupils to benefit from ‘permanent’ boarding at the pace which suits them.”
