Games and PE in Pre-Prep
The children have two PE sessions each week. Every child is included in each activity, whatever their ability level. The aim is to encourage an enjoyment of sport, team games and a healthy lifestyle. The curriculum offers a comprehensive range of age-appropriate experiences. The development of confidence and respect are a very important part of this learning process.
In Pre-Prep the children are taught the basic skills to participate in different sports, including those which will gradually lead to hockey, rugby, football, netball, rounders, short tennis, athletics, gymnastics, swimming and dance. They are encouraged to take part in competitive play, both in team games and individual pursuits.
Extra-curricular clubs such as ballet, judo, team games, football and cricket are also offered to extend opportunities for sport.
The Pre-Prep Games and PE highlights of the year include a Games Tournament, Swimming Gala, Gym Display and the Sports Day.
