Sewing Help Required
We are again looking for volunteers to help make costumes for the forthcoming Year 6 and Year 7 production of Oliver. We had a handful of helpers this week and fortunately their talent and enthusiasm outweighed the head count, and we achieved quite a lot!
The next set of sessions are on Tuesday, 16th and Wednesday 17th March. Your own sewing machine and a pair of fabric scissors would be useful, but not essential, and some semblance of sewing ability helpful!
Volunteers to email fperry@blueserver.co.uk or text/phone 07920 518790 and she will advise timing.

'See-Saw' Fundraising BallOn Saturday 24 April 2010 Oxfordshire will be home to the most stunning and stylish ball the county has ever seen. Appropriately named the ‘Elegant Ball’, the event will take place in a beautiful marquee within the grounds of Millets Farm, Frilford. It will appeal to the more discerning party goer and is most certainly ‘the’ date for the diary... The event will mark the first of such balls, which will be held bi-annually. Tables of 10 will be priced at £1,000. The Elegant Ball will raise money for Oxfordshire’s charity SeeSaw, which helps children and their families both before and after a major bereavement, helping them to move forward and to face the future with hope. 70% of monies raised through ticket sales will go to SeeSaw.
One of SeeSaw’s Patron’s, Raymond Blanc OBE says "We’re thrilled that this marvellous event will be celebrating SeeSaw’s work with bereaved children whilst raising much needed funds in its 10th anniversary year”.
The entertainment will include a live band, cabaret and Oxford’s ‘Out of the Blue’. There will be a short auction for prizes that ‘money can’t buy’ which will be hosted by ‘Cash in the Attic’s’ Jonty Hearnden. Elegant Cuisine will be donating the services of Elegant Cuisine at no charge and is also funding the live band, cabaret and entertainment. Peter Florey from Florey Marquees will be providing the marquee at cost. Therefore, there will be no cuts in quality.
To reserve your tickets please call Caroline on 01865 391888 and be part of something fantastic.
Horse Required
Does anyone have or know of anyone who has a horse for loan? One of our horses died last November and the one that is left needs a friend. He has been away for the winter with other horses and will be back at our yard next month. Ted is a 16.2hh coloured cob-type horse and 21 years old. Ideally I would like an older horse who is able to hack out a couple of times a week. He would need to be at least 15.1hh, steady and good to handle, shoe, box and good on the roads and in traffic. Please contact Hazel Wright on 01367 241151 or 07774 694045. I am also in the School Office on a Monday between 10am and 5pm.
