Why Our Facilities Stand Out

St Hugh's has outstanding facilities, including a sports hall, 20m swimming pool, tennis courts, fully equipped science labs, art studio, and more. We believe that a vibrant learning environment extends beyond the classroom. Our grounds offer state-of-the-art facilities that support academic, sporting, and creative excellence, giving every pupil the opportunity to thrive. We are lucky to be situated within 45 acres of Oxfordshire countryside, and take every opportunity to enrich our children's learning through outdoor activities.

Sports and Fitness

  • Swimming Pool: heated 20m pool with lifeguard provision for lessons and training.
  • Pool Studio: light and spacious studio overlooking the swimming pool. Used for parent personal training and yoga sessions, pupil wellbeing sessions, ballet classes, and as a viewing room for swimming lessons.

  • Sports Hall: multi-purpose space for cricket, football, basketball, netball, badminton, gymnastics, fencing, and much more.

  • Tennis & Netball Courts: three courts with lighting for year-round play.

  • Astro Turf: used for hockey, football, and tennis. Floodlit for year-round use.

  • Playing Fields: expansive outdoor areas, prepared seasonally for cricket, rugby, and football.

  • 45 Acres of grounds: our space allows us a spectacular cross-country route.

Creative and Performance Spaces

  • The Barn Theatre: a characterful venue with tiered seating, lighting, and a sound system for drama and music. 
  • Music Studio: a purpose-built space, acoustically designed for musical performance. 
  • Art Room: a dedicated, modern and spacious art studio, fully equipped and ideal to encourage freedom of expression.
  • DT Room: a light, well-equipped and hands-on learning environment.

Outdoor Learning

  • Forest School: comprising a fenced vegetable garden with raised beds, a pond, fruit trees, octagonal woodland shelters, campfires, a greenhouse, and plenty of outside space.
  • Grounds: St Hugh's is set in 45 glorious acres and we make the most of the this space at every opportunity.

Play Areas

  • Adventure Playground: Nursery, Pre-Prep and Middle School children have access to a purpose-built adventure playground, which they use at least twice a day.
  • Woodland Adventure Playground: Upper School children have access to their own purpose-built adventure playground, situated in the woods.

Designed for every child

Our facilities offer opportunities for every child. From competitive sports, to creative expression and outdoor adventure, every pupil has access to experiences that build confidence and character.
