Facilities Hire

The first-class facilities at St Hugh’s are available to hire for long term lets only by external groups for a range of different purposes: clubs, exercise classes, holiday camp programmes, rehearsals etc.
 
As you will be aware, the recent change in law has applied VAT to all private school fees. Unfortunately, this will now apply to all provision and services linked to the school, unless this is nursery or childcare, and this includes the hiring of facilities.

Swimming Pool

Our swimming pool is 20m x 8m with a depth from 0.9m to 1.6m, and is heated to 29°C. The pool is available to hire for exclusive use, lane hire - and other purposes.  Hire includes lifeguard provision.

Availability in term time: Weeknights between 19:00 – 21:00 / Weekends between 13:00 – 20:00

Availability out of term time: 08:00 - 20:00, 7 days a week

No hire on Bank Holidays

Cost: Variable

All bookings are subject to lifeguard availability.

Sports Hall

Our large Sports Hall is available to hire for sports training, events and fixtures.  The space is ideal for cricket (4 indoor nets plus floor mats), football, badminton, basketball, netball and roller skating plus much more.

Availability in term time: 08:00 - 20:00 at weekends

Availability out of term time: 08:00 - 20:00, 7 days a week

No hire on Bank Holidays

Cost: £54.44 per hour

Tennis Courts

St Hugh’s currently has three tennis courts. These are available for hire for classes, clubs or private use. All courts have external lighting for evening use.

Availability in term time: 11:00 – 20:00 Saturday and 8:00-20:00 Sunday.

Availability out of term time: 8:00 - 20:00, 7 days a week

No hire on Bank Holidays

Cost: £8 per hour per court during daytime / £10 per hour per court when external lighting used.

Astro Pitch

Our sand-based pitch is 3/4 full size, and is ideal all year-round training surface for many sports including football, hockey and tennis. External lighting is available for evening use.

Availability in term time: Mon and Wed 18:15 – 21:00.  11:00 – 20:00 Saturday 08:00-20:00 Sunday.

Availability out of term time: 08:00 - 20:00, 7 days a week.

No hire on Bank Holidays

Cost: £54.44 per hour

 

 

 

 

 

PLAYING Fields

Two large fields offer the following facilities:

  • Cricket: 1 grass wicket, 2 artificial wickets, 2 cricket nets
  • Lacrosse pitches
  • Outside play area
  • Pavilion with changing, toilets and catering facilities

Availability in term time: 11:00 – 20:00 Saturday 08:00-20:00 Sunday.

Availability out of term time: 08:00 - 20:00, 7 days a week.

The Barn

Our Barn offers a characterful theatre space for performance or rehearsal - with lighting, staging and tiered seating.  A music system is available on request.

Availability: Out of term only.

Capacity: Seated 80, standing 100

Availability out of term time: 08:00 - 20:00, 7 days a week.

FOREST SCHOOLS & STUDIOS

Also available to hire:-

  • Large and medium sized forest school spaces
  • Dance studio

Studio Availability in term time: Mon, Wed and Fri 15:15 – 21:00, Thu 17:30 – 21:00, Weekends 08:00-20:00.

Forest School Availability in term time: 11:00 – 20:00 Saturday 08:00-20:00 Sunday.

Availability out of term time: 08:00 - 20:00, 7 days a week.

PARKING

The school grounds also contain several large car parks, the use of which are included in the facility hire.
