MIDDLE SCHOOL 'TAKE ONE...' EXHIBITION

There were feathers, tepees and totem poles galore in Middle School as the children held their annual 'Take One...' exhibition.  Each year, pupils are presented with an artefact from the Ashmolean Museum's collection and this provides a stimulus for their cross-curricular learning for the term.  This year's object was Powhatan's Mantle, leading the children to become immersed in Native American history, geography and culture.  After a wonderful performance of song and dance to a Pre-Prep audience, Upper School teachers were invited to visit Middle School for tours, talks and to view the pupils' project work.  The knowledge, enthusiasm and confidence displayed by every Year 3 and Year 4 pupil was extremely impressive and made for a very entertaining and enlightening afternoon.  Parents will be able to join in the excitement of the 'Take One...' experience at the end of the week when we will be sharing a video and sending a souvenir programme home.
