St Hugh's was recently visited by an inspector from ISCC, who provide contract quality control for the majority of private schools across the UK. The visit was unannounced and looked at all aspects of catering provision at the school: inspecting menus, stock rotation, accounts, food safety compliance, service, kitchen management and the food offerings on the day.
We are delighted that the report was overwhelmingly glowing, and we are very proud of our fantastic catering team who work so hard to make sure that staff and pupils are well fuelled for their busy days at school.
The overview states:
"The food offer at St Hugh’s remains amongst the very best experienced by ISCC in the Prep School market. It is clear that the School places considerable focus, time and effort ensuring that their pupils, both day and boarders, are fed well. The talented and dedicated culinary team are passionate about providing the pupils with the very best produce and dishes, with every dish served being made from scratch using fresh ingredients each day. The kitchen has more of a high-end restaurant feel, rather than school dining. The end product is happy healthy well-fed children, refuelled and ready for their next lesson or sporting activity."
