St Hugh's At Home Wednesday Challenges

The first St Hugh's At Home Wednesday Active Challenge, set by the sports department, drew a truly astonishing response from the school community.  Pupils, parents and staff were challenged to collectively travel a distance equivalent to going from Lands End to John O'Groats (1,406km) over the course of Wednesday afternoon. Despite the dull and drizzly weather, a total of 322 adults and children took up the challenge - cycling, swimming, walking, running, roller-blading, scooting and rowing.  When all the individual kilometres were added up, the total came to a jaw-dropping 2,480 kms - we'd made it from Lands End to John O'Groats and half way back again!  Well done, St Hugh's - what a mark of the strength and commitment of our community.
