MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHING ASSISTANT 

YEARS 3 AND 4 (MATERNITY COVER)

We are seeking a hard-working, reliable and flexible Full Time Teaching Assistant to work in our Middle School looking after pupils in Years 3 and 4.  

Your role will be to provide educational opportunities, support and supervision for pupils during the school days. The successful candidate will be flexible and hardworking.  You will be welcomed onto an enthusiastic, collaborative and dynamic team who are committed to ensuring that our pupils are provided with a stimulating education in a rounded nurturing environment.

LEARNING SUPPORT TEACHER – MATERNITY COVER

We welcome applications from enthusiastic and inspiring learning support teachers to join our learning support team.  You will help to drive the ethos of the school which is to ensure that each child is able to discover what they are good at, to thrive and, therefore, gain confidence in themselves and be the best person that they can be.   This is a full time position to cover maternity leave for 2 terms initially, with the possibility to extend for up to 12 months.  There will also be a requirement to take one after school club a week until 5.30pm.

We are seeking a hard-working, reliable and flexible Teaching Assistant to work with our Heads of Design Technology and Art in our Upper School, supporting pupils in Year 5 to Year 8.

A significant percentage of your time will be spent within the Design Technology department where you will be involved in all lessons, playing a valuable part in supporting the children’s learning and helping to maintain a safe environment. In house and/or external training will be provided. SWIM SCHOOL VACANCIES

PART TIME DUTY OFFICER

We are currently recruiting for two part time Duty Officer positions.  Working alongside the Lettings and Commercial Manager you will oversee the smooth operations of the commercial business side of the School.  Currently this includes St Hugh’s Swim School, Facility Lettings, Party Bookings and After School clubs.  This is an expanding area of the School and presents many opportunities with wide ranging and varied tasks.  

There are no prerequisite requirements for this job.  We are looking for the right person.  The successful candidate will be expected to complete a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), First Aid at Work (FAAW) and swim teaching qualification as well as good customer service and I.T skills.  The School will pay for any training required to be able to fulfil this roles functions.  

The school will expect the successful candidate to work alternate weekends and be on a weekly shift pattern to ensure early evenings during the weekdays are covered.

SWIM TEACHERS FOR THE ST HUGH'S SWIM SCHOOL AND MORE…

We are looking for level 2 qualified swimming teachers to work in the wonderful pool facility at St Hugh’s.

You will need to be available on a weekly basis for any of the following times;

Monday 15:45 – 17:45

Wednesday 15:45 – 18:15

Friday 15:45 – 17:45

Saturday 10:00 – 12:30 (Possibility of afternoon work too)

There is also the potential for more work over the holiday periods as well as School term time teaching depending on School hire of the facility.  You will also have the option to hire the pool and bring your own customers for 1-1 lessons (subject to availability).  All candidates must have a valid Level 2 swimming teachers qualification and previous experience of teaching, along with up to date public liability insurance.  The salary will be £20 per hour on a self-employed basis.
