External Relations & Events Coordinator

START DATE: January 2022 

PART-TIME: 3 days (28.5 hours) a week term time + 25 additional days (56% FTE)

SALARY: £34,000 to £38,000 FTE depending on experience

Are you a dynamic and experienced professional, ideally with a background in events organisation and/or experience working in the education sector, who would like to join our hard working and collaborative team?  The role of External Relations & Events Coordinator is pivotal to the school community, acting as a vital point of contact for parents and visitors as well as supporting colleagues and pupils throughout the school day.   

Key aspects of the role include:

  • events organisation and ‘front of house’
  • coordinating & supporting FOSH (our parent association)
  • developing the school alumni programme
  • building external partnerships 
  • chairing the Charity Committee
  • running the second-hand uniform shop

The successful candidate will be highly organised, with excellent administrative skills, keen attention to detail and strong inter-personal skills.

TEACHING ASSISTANT

We are seeking a hard-working, reliable and flexible Teaching Assistant to work in our Upper School, complementing the work of teachers by providing pupils in Years 5 to 8 the level and type of support required.  

Your role will involve joint planning with teachers, preparing and delivering activities for individuals or small groups. The successful candidate will be flexible and hardworking.  You will be welcomed onto an enthusiastic, collaborative and dynamic team who are committed to ensuring that our pupils are provided with a stimulating education in a rounded nurturing environment.

SCHOOL NURSE

An exciting opportunity for a caring, friendly nurse who is also a team player to join our Medical Centre Team.  You will be providing cover during term times Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and evenings and joining a collaborative and hard-working team. 

This role would suit a candidate who is confident in working autonomously and who enjoys working with children and the school community. Ideally, you would have experience working in schools, A&E or may have held a position as a practice nurse. It would be useful to be a qualified first aid instructor or willing to become one. The candidate should be proficient in first aid, have a knowledge of the NMC code, and experience of using IT systems, particularly ISAMS.

SWIM SCHOOL VACANCIES


Part time duty officer

We are looking to recruit two Duty Officers (0.37 FTE) to continue the safe and efficient running of the wonderful pool and lettings facility at St Hugh’s when the Commercial Manager is not on site. The successful candidate will need to be NPLQ qualified and ideally First Aid at Work trained.  

Salary: £21,164 (pro rata).  

Shifts available during term time are: 

Monday 15:00 – 18:30

Tuesday 06:30 – 08:30

Wednesday 15:00 – 19:00

Thursday 16:30 – 19:00

Friday 15:00 – 18:30

Saturday 07:30 – 17:00

Sunday 08:00 – 13:00

And in holiday periods are:

Monday – Friday 07:30 – 18:30

Saturday – Sunday 07:30 – 17:00

It is envisaged a job share would result in either one weekend working then one weekend off or work every Saturday and have every Sunday off, for example.

SWIM TEACHERS FOR THE ST HUGH'S SWIM SCHOOL AND MORE…

We are looking for level 2 qualified swimming teachers to work in the wonderful pool facility at St Hugh’s.

You will need to be available on a weekly basis for any of the following times;

Monday 15:45 – 17:45

Wednesday 15:45 – 18:15

Friday 15:45 – 17:45

Saturday 10:00 – 12:30 (Possibility of afternoon work too)

There is also the potential for more work over the holiday periods as well as School term time teaching depending on School hire of the facility.  You will also have the option to hire the pool and bring your own customers for 1-1 lessons (subject to availability).  All candidates must have a valid Level 2 swimming teachers qualification and previous experience of teaching, along with up to date public liability insurance.  The salary will be £20 per hour on a self-employed basis.
