PENSION
Pension Scheme Support Staff
All St Hugh’s support staff between the ages of 16 and 75 are eligible to join the Standard Life pension scheme immediately on joining. If you wish to join the pension scheme, the School will pay 10% of your basic salary into the scheme. Staff are required to contribute 3% to the scheme.
Pension Scheme Teaching Staff (APTIS)
All St Hugh’s teachers between the ages of 18 and 75 are eligible to belong to this scheme and will become members unless they manually opt out themselves.
ALL STAFF BENEFITS
Free Parking
Ample on-site parking is available to all staff. We also have regular public transport links via bus to Swindon and Oxford.
School Meals
Excellent award-winning meals are available that would not be out of place in a restaurant. Free lunch may be taken in the school dining hall when the kitchen is in operation. When staying late for activities and functions, staff can also book in for evening meals at no extra expense.
Training and Development
We show loyalty to our staff through training and advancement opportunities. The school will provide financial support to staff undertaking external courses of study that are of benefit to us and the member of staff.
PERSONAL BENEFITS
Fitness and Well-being
Our on-site swimming pool, small gym, floodlit astro-turf and tennis courts can be used by staff at designated times. The school is an accredited wellbeing leader and recognises that it is important to balance life and work. We provide wellbeing classes twice a week.
Medical Centre
We are extremely fortunate to have our own Medical Centre on site, with two fully qualified nurses which staff can use for friendly support and advice. (E.g. we offer free flu jabs to all staff).
FAMILY FRIENDLY BENEFITS
Parental Leave
Enhanced Maternity, Paternity, Parental and Adoption Leave benefits all contribute to our first rate offering to staff with families.
School Fees
Staff are entitled to a discretionary discount of up to 25% on St Hugh’s school fees (pro rata for part-time and term time posts). Any further discount is means tested and all staff can apply for additional support.
Before and After School Care
St Hugh’s recognise that it can be tricky balancing professional and home life and are delighted to offer early drop off and pick up times. Additionally, late tea and prep are available for free and occasional boarding is available to help work around commitments.
Holiday Sports Camp
Staff are entitled to a discount of 50% on internal summer camps which run during the school holidays on the St Hugh’s campus.
