The Hayes Centre

The Hayes Centre will be the hub of the Senior School, with three large classrooms, a social space, a kitchen/dining space which will become a student-led coffee shop initiative once the new Dining Room has been completed on the main school site, a main reception, and an office (as well as WC and locker facilities).

The Hayes Centre is situated on the current school premises, but is separated from the main school by Carswell Lane, a quiet lane that goes to the small hamlet of Carswell only. Whilst this will be the hub for the Senior School, Year 9-11 students will also be using the existing facilities at St Hugh's. These include:

• Purpose-built and fully equipped Science labs
• Light and fully equipped Art studio and DT room
• Purpose-built Music studio
• Heated 20m indoor Swimming pool
• Multi-purpose and generously proportioned Sports Hall
• Outdoor astro turf
• Expansive playing fields
• The characterful Drama studio, affectionately called The Barn
